We're seeking an Analytics Associate to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for enabling clinical, operational, and financial outcomes improvement through consultative partnerships and the use of data and analytics. Responsibilities
• Commit to delivering objective, unbiased analytics solutions that support the mission of UnityPoint Health.
• Aid in the development of analytics solutions that are solution-focused, customer-led, and built with standard tools and processes including scoping documentation, narrative and viz guidelines, and data governance standards.
• Make data a joy to use in decision-making through the creation of visualizations and user interfaces grounded in design-thinking, using UX studies and observations to guide software development.
• Inspire your peers to do their best work by establishing a culture of innovation, communication, and trust through design sessions, code reviews, and other open feedback.
• Build a working knowledge of core data sources and healthcare operations to accurately and efficiently analysis findings in a meaningful and understandable manner.
• Provide project status updates, feedback, and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Collaborate effectively with teammates, customers and partners.
• Demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.
• Establish and maintain effective mechanisms of communication to foster an environment of openness, trust and teamwork.
Qualifications
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science or related field.
Experience:
Required:
At least 2 years working in an analytics or healthcare operations setting that includes demonstrated efforts to drive improvements using data and analytics methodologies and techniques.
1 or more years of education and experience focused on using data to improve outcomes and decision-making.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Understanding of operational, financial and quality measures.
• Writing queries with SQL or other querying tools.
• Business intelligence visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI).
• Communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Scripting in the R or Python ecosystems.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.
• Requires the ability to synthesize data using Excel and similar tools.
• Ability to continuously learn and adopt new methods and technologies.
