Job Description
MAXIMUS is seeking a Finance Analyst to produce accurate project financial reports for corporate finance and project management. Responsibilities include preparing labor and ODCs for invoicing, assisting with financial analysis, tracking financial status, and reviewing vendor invoices. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience, including accounts receivable reconciliation and proficiency in Excel. This is a full-time remote position.
Description & Requirements
Maximus is seeking an Analyst, Finance to produce accurate project financial reporting results for submission to corporate finance and project management. This position is remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate project financial reporting results for submission to corporate finance and project management.
- Prepare labor and Other Direct Charges (ODCs) for client invoicing and cost reporting; ensure all costs on the invoice are accurate, appropriately supported and reconcile to the accounting system.
- Assist program control staff with ad hoc financial and cost analysis as requested by program management and corporate finance.
- Provide analytical support to program contract staff preparing corporate required reporting of accounts receivable and billed and unbilled reconciliations.
- Track financial status by monitoring variances from forecasts and investigate unusual variances for accuracy.
- Monitor fulfillment expenses closely against forecast assumptions.
- Review incoming vendor invoices for accuracy, provide appropriate codes and monitor payment status.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of related experience is required.
- Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Must have accounts receivable reconciliation experience.
- Invoice experience is essential.
- Experience tracking financials and monitoring unusual variances is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.
