Job Description
The Western India Institute of Aeronautics is hiring a full-time AME Instructor – B2 (Avionics) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Responsibilities include delivering instruction in avionics, developing lesson plans, conducting assessments, and supervising practical training. Candidates should have a degree in a DGCA-approved AME course, relevant experience, and strong knowledge of avionics systems. A passion for teaching and familiarity with DGCA standards are preferred.
AME Instructor – B2 (Avionics)
Location: Western India Institute of Aeronautics, Ahmedabad
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver theoretical and practical instruction in B2 (Avionics) modules as per syllabus.Develop lesson plans, presentations, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with DGCA and CAR 147 standards.Conduct and evaluate internal assessments and examinations.Supervise and support students during practical training in hangars, labs, and workshops.Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance during all training activities.Maintain accurate training records and monitor student progress regularly.Assist in continuous improvement of the training program and participate in audits and inspections as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree or successful completion of a DGCA-approved AME course (Category B2).DGCA CAR 66 B2 modules relevant to the instructional subjects must be cleared.Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in a DGCA CAR 145 organization or equivalent civil aviation maintenance environment.Prior experience as an instructor in a CAR 147 Basic organization is preferred
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge in avionics systems including electrical, instrument, radio/navigation, and communication systems.Excellent theoretical and practical instructional skills.Proficient in English (verbal and written).Skilled in using training aids, simulators, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).Strong commitment to aviation safety, compliance, and professional ethics.Ability to motivate and guide students for technical and professional growth.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Passion for teaching and mentoring future Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.Familiarity with DGCA audits, CAR-66 modules, and CAR-147 documentation processes.Strong teamwork and communication skills with a learner-centered approach.
