Job Description

ACET, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III for on-site work at Pax River Naval Base, MD. The role involves routine aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft systems, requiring at least 6 years of relevant experience and various qualifications. The position may involve physical demands and requires a Secret clearance. Relocation assistance is available, but it is not a remote job.

Performs routine aircraft maintenance functionsMust demonstrate an operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines and component partsOperates aircraft towing equipment in towing operationsMaintains aircraft hydraulic systemsMust have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenanceMust be able to read and write, and interpret and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, and directives, guides and forms used on the jobPerform carbon fiber and composite repairsCorrosion Prevention and treatmentPerforms preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystemsPerforms troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems.Services ground support equipment. Performs preventive maintenance inspections on all ground support equipmentUses blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and manufacturers' drawings and sketches in the performance of assigned dutiesCompletes maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA, and required forms, as required by job assignment

Qualifications:

At least 6 years' CH/MH-53E Airframes Organizational Maintenance experience in a primary MOS from any of the following OccFlds: 6153 Aircraft Maintenance, equivalent skill designation from other services or possess valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant CertificationAt least 2 years' H-53K experienceExperience as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) on Military Aircraft or 4 years FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) experienceMust show proficiency in the use of OOMA within 90 days after assignmentHigh school diploma or equivalent Aviation Structural Mechanic Core courseAviation Structural Mechanic Organizational Level courseTire and wheel qualificationMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and base access.Prior CDQAR preferredUSN/USMC experience preferredPhysical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds. Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required.Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, to include working overhead.Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flightline.Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties.If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks.If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours.If required must be able to perform confined space activities.Travel may be required.Compensation:

Employees receive a health and welfare benefit of $5.09 per hour paid up to 40 hours per week.
