Job Description

NTU International A/S is seeking a Senior Agriculture Expert for a 40-month EU-funded project in Rome, focusing on aligning Ukrainian agricultural policies with EU standards. Candidates should have a Master's degree or equivalent experience, advanced English, and proficiency in Ukrainian or Russian. A minimum of 10 years in agricultural policy and development is required. NTU International A/S leads a consortium for the EU-funded project Support to align Ukrainian legislation, policies, and institutions with EU acquis in agriculture and rural development (IPRSA III). We are seeking experts to support the core team during implementation.

The overall objective is to contribute to a resilient, inclusive, sustainable, and competitive growth-oriented agricultural sector securing fair rural incomes and investment capacities while respecting the environment.

The project duration will be 40 months from the intended start date no later than 1 September 2025.

We are looking for a Senior ARD Expert.
Qualifications and Skills:
• A Master's Degree (or equivalent) in agriculture, agriculture economics, or a related field; or a bachelor's degree plus four years of relevant experience; or eight years of relevant professional experience without a degree.
• Advanced English language skills (C1 level) and proficiency in Ukrainian or Russian (B2 level).
Professional Experience:
• At least 10 years of experience in policy definition, development programs, legislation, institutional reform, or sectoral support programs in agriculture or rural development.
• Decentralized government experience supporting strategy assessment, consultation, elaboration, implementation, and monitoring in agriculture or rural sectors.
• Experience in developing agricultural extension systems, FA/SDN, or Geographical Indications is an asset.
• Recent experience participating in technical assistance projects supporting EU acquis implementation in candidate countries or Member States is an asset.
