This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with international partners, influence policy, and empower high-, low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) through innovative research and capacity building.

What you would be doing

You’ll spearhead strategic energy systems modelling, integrating tools like OSeMOSYS and CLEWs into projects such as the CLEWs-EU model and African capacity-building initiatives. Your work will involve co-creating national decarbonisation strategies with stakeholders, mentoring researchers, and translating complex science into actionable policy. You’ll engage with governments, international finance institutions, and students, delivering impactful teaching and fostering knowledge exchange.

What we are looking for

• Proven experience collaborating with governments and IFIs on climate strategies, ideally in Latin America or the Caribbean.
• Strong analytical skills and a knack for innovative frameworks like Data-to-Deal (D2D).
• Passionate, collaborative individuals eager to lead and inspire in a global research community.

What we can offer you
• Join a world-leading team at Imperial’s Centre for Environmental Policy, tackling climate challenges with real-world impact.
