Your Impact

The Advanced Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician in the PEARCE Renewables Operations and Maintenance (OM) division performs tasks involving operations and maintenance (O&M) and physical labor at commercial and industrial solar energy projects located throughout United States. These are local sites-candidates should reside within 50 miles of the Lake Elsinore, California areas.

Core Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person and under properly performed LOTO conditions.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Act as a team member to support site work which could include supervising field work onsite focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Core Experience
• 3- 4+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components is required.
• 3- 4+ years of Renewable energy experience is preferred.
• A commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
• Post-secondary education is preferred.
• Electrical certifications are preferred such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) internal and external requirements is required.

Physical/Work Environment:

At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.
• Candidates residing in the Lake Elsinore, California area preferred.
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license for at least a year.
• Work possible rotating shifts.
• Prolong standing and working in ergonomic challenging positions.
• Varied climates based upon locations.

Compensation: $25.00-$42.00 hourly/DOE
