Job Description
Des Moines Area Community College is seeking a part-time Adjunct Instructor for Environmental Science for the Fall Semester 2025. The instructor will teach courses, develop instructional strategies, and foster a positive learning environment. Required qualifications include a Master's degree in Biology with specific coursework. The position is located in Iowa and involves various campus locations, with days and times to be determined.

Job Summary
Part -time Adjunct Instructor for Fall Semester 2025 . Days and times to be determined.
Essential Functions
Teaches assigned courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi. Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students. Fosters a safe and civil learning environment. Informs students about course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies. Monitors, evaluates, and documents student attendance, progress and competency attainment.
Required Qualifications
Master of Biology including two Environmental Biology courses or any master’s with 12 graduate semester credits in Biology including two Environmental Biology courses.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds.
Desired Qualifications
Teaching experience.
