Job Description
The UN Environment World Conservation Monitoring Centre is hiring an Associate Programme Officer for the Nature Conserved team in Cambridge, UK. The role involves data analysis and quality control for projects related to global wildlife trade, supporting CITES and EU regulations. The salary ranges from £25,000 to £30,500. This full-time position does not offer visa sponsorship and is not a United Nations post.
Nature Conserved | £25,000 to £30,500, depending on skills and experience
We are seeking an Associate Programme Officer to join our Nature Conserved team, working within our Global Wildlife Trade focal initiative to provide accurate data and analyses to decisionmakers.
This role will involve contribution to UNEP-WCMC’s suite of projects supporting the implementation of CITES, the EU Wildlife Trade Regulations and CMS. The successful applicant will have a meticulous approach to quality control in order to process and input data into relevant databases including Species+ and will have strong analytical skills to analyse biodiversity data to contribute towards the production of technical reports for policymakers.
This position will give you the opportunity to contribute to a portfolio of high-profile and innovative projects that support effective decision making on global wildlife trade, where your work will really make a difference in the field of conservation.
This position is not suitable for visa sponsorship.
This is not a United Nations Post. This position is with the charity WCMC, working in collaboration with UNEP.
