Accounting Analyst

Greenskies Clean Energy is seeking a full-time Accounting Analyst in North Haven, CT. Responsibilities include general accounting tasks, AR/AP processing, ledger management, and financial reporting. Candidates should have a BA/BS in accounting or finance, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The position offers a salary of $57,000 to $63,000, along with benefits such as health and dental insurance.
The Staff Accountant position includes general accounting functions, AR and AP processing, general ledger management, account reconciliation and all associated reporting. Other duties consist of monthly and year end close and various other accounting tasks.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting and understands GAAP accounting principles. This role will include both working independently and collaboratively on various tasks with competing deadlines, so it is important that the candidate has strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
• Record monthly accounting journal entries and maintain general ledger for assigned entities in accordance with company policies and accepted accounting principles.
• Collaborate with Senior Accountants to perform traditional accounting duties including reporting, bookkeeping, AR, AP, and bank reconciliations.
• Verify purchase orders/invoices in accounting system.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies, collaborating closely with internal teams and vendors to address outstanding issues.
• Communicate with vendors regarding account status, payment discrepancies, and billing inquiries.
• Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to company accounting and financial guidelines.
• Support the annual audit.
• Participate in budget process.

Qualifications:
• Minimum BA or BS degree in accounting or finance.
• Strong Excel skills with great attention to detail.

• Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
• Ability to work as a team member and function independently with minimal supervision. • Superb oral and written communication abilities
