EcoEngineers is hiring an Account Manager for North America Biofuels in Des Moines, IA. The role focuses on driving sales growth by building client relationships in the ethanol and biodiesel sectors. EcoEngineers is seeking a dynamic and results-driven sales professional to play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth within our fast-paced, high-growth, and complex sales environment. This position is instrumental in exceeding sales targets by cultivating strategic client relationships and delivering exceptional client engagement.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of driving sales growth, leveraging a consultative sales approach to develop opportunities and close contracts efficiently. This role demands an assertive, structured sales process to ensure a robust and consistently expanding sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute aggressive sales strategies to expand EcoEngineers’ market presence in the North American Ethanol and Biodiesel sectors.
• Build and nurture high-value client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to drive long-term partnerships.
• Leverage deep industry knowledge to provide clients with carbon intensity visibility, regulatory insights, compliance strategies, and voluntary market access.
• Drive EcoEngineers’ mission forward by enabling clients to navigate the energy transition through life cycle analysis and decarbonization solutions.

Specific Aspects Of The Role Include
• Mining, creating, and realizing client proposals leading to individual sales goals based upon an annual sales period.
• Lead conversion, opportunity development, and contract closing activity required to meet and/or exceed sales targets.
• Collaborating with Eco Engineers’ industry leading operational group to develop technical aspects of value propositions, scope work accurately and win work that is aligned with existing or new service offerings
• Being a trusted partner to key clients and industry, advising and sharing thought leadership to build presence
• Support the development and accomplishment of strategic goals for the North American Biofuels service area
• Sharing responsibility to innovate or create new solutions to address client challenges
• Understand and realize the value of internal sales systems, tools, and client record management CRM
Goals
Drive overall team sales within the assigned service area while excelling as a high-impact team player, consistently achieving and exceeding individual sales targets.
As an Account Manager at EcoEngineers, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating sales growth by attending industry conferences, delivering thought leadership pieces, executing targeted campaigns, and fostering strategic internal collaboration. Your expertise and proactive commitment will be instrumental in advancing business objectives and strengthening EcoEngineers' market position.
Key Skills
• A self-driven, sales “closer” mindset, fully enjoys selling
• Ability to understand and sell carbon related services and strategies
• Demonstrates experience in creating solutions in response to complex challenges
• Trust builder, persuasive presenter with good influencing skills
• Familiarity with CRM and how value & insight accumulates within it
• Ability to use market intelligence to foster opportunities
• Demonstrates effective internal communication and teamwork skills
• Analytical and technical skills in biofuels production
Key Experience Areas
• 5+ years’ experience in biofuels, renewable energy, or carbon related industry experience
• 5+ years in sales or ability to illustrate a consistent track record of success
• Ability to translate market insights and client needs into actionable sales initiatives
• Ability to build, develop and leverage extensive client relationships and networks
• Thought leader or subject matter expertise in the field
• Public presenting experience
• Proposal writing experience a plus
• Ability to write professionally or technically
• Ability to travel up to 15-20%
