Position Summary
The Account Manager – Renewable Fuels will support Seaboard Energy’s commercial efforts by managing day-to-day customer relationships, executing fuel sales transactions, coordinating with logistics and operations teams, and supporting strategic pricing and market intelligence efforts. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for customers and play a vital role in ensuring satisfaction and repeat business while contributing to growth in key markets such as California and other low-carbon regions.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, managing inquiries, orders, and issue resolution
• Support the Senior Director and sales leadership with the execution of fuel sales agreements
• Assist in managing terminal and plant-based fuel sales, including preparing daily pricing offers based on guidance
• Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, finance, operations) to ensure accurate and timely fuel deliveries
• Maintain and update sales activity and customer information in CRM and pricing tools
• Monitor market conditions and customer feedback to inform pricing strategies and customer engagement approaches
• Help develop and present account plans, performance reports, and pricing summaries
• Support contract development and renewals in collaboration with legal and commercial leadership
• Attend industry conferences, site visits, and customer meetings to deepen relationships and identify opportunities
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Energy Management, or related field preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in account management, sales support, or logistics in the energy, fuels, or transportation industries
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with an ability to build lasting relationships
• Basic understanding of fuel pricing, logistics, and market dynamics is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); CRM experience preferred
• Highly organized and self-motivated with strong follow-through
• Willingness to travel (approx. 25%) to customer sites, terminals, and industry events
