APA Group is seeking an Access and Approvals Lead for their Infrastructure Delivery team in Brisbane, QLD. This full-time role involves obtaining land access and regulatory approvals for renewable energy projects across Queensland, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory. Candidates should have qualifications in environmental science or related fields and experience in managing land access for renewable energy projects. We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Access and Approvals Lead to join our Infrastructure Delivery team in Brisbane, QLD to help lead the delivery of renewable energy and power projects on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Access and Approvals Manager, you will play a key role in obtaining land access and regulatory approvals for renewable energy and power projects in Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and obtain regulatory approvals to enable projects to be developed and constructed
• Acquire land to deliver projects
• Appoint and manage external consultants through the preparation of scope and deliverables for packages of work where required and manage their performance
• Provide input into contracts and scopes of work
• Provide regular business updates on progress, schedule and budget management
• Be the point of contact within a project for all land access, environment, planning, cultural heritage and native title approvals for both internal and external stakeholders
Your background
• Qualification in environmental science, planning, project management or other relevant area of study
• Significant experience in delivering land access and approvals for projects with experience in renewable energy/power projects
• Demonstrated experience in managing consultants (performance and budget)
• Demonstrated experience in preparing budgets and schedules for land access and approvals for renewable energy and power projects
