Develop and implement conservation plans for working lands in Virginia, including forests, farms, and ranches.

Provide technical assistance and support to landowners in implementing sustainable conservation practices.

Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and landowners, to achieve shared conservation goals.

Conduct on-site assessments of working lands to identify conservation needs and opportunities.

Stay up-to-date on the latest conservation practices and regulations, and incorporate them into conservation plans.

Build and maintain relationships with landowners to promote conservation efforts and address any concerns or challenges.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of conservation plans and make recommendations for improvements.

Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs and workshops to promote conservation practices among landowners.

Stay informed on state and federal funding opportunities for conservation projects and assist landowners in applying for grants.

Represent the state in meetings, conferences, and other events related to working lands conservation.

Provide regular reports and updates on conservation efforts and progress to superiors and other stakeholders.
