Job Description
Enel is seeking a Wind Tech III in Alabama to perform maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment, install and troubleshoot components, and mentor lower-level technicians. The role requires strong technical skills, experience in wind technology, and the ability to work in various conditions. Responsibilities include maintenance reporting, compliance with safety procedures, and supporting regional activities. A bachelor's degree and relevant experience are required.
Overview:
As a Wind Tech III at Enel North America Inc., you will be responsible for completing scheduled maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment, as well as installing, testing, and troubleshooting minor and major components. You will also perform current and voltage calculations, initiate reports and records, and mentor lower-level technicians. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
• Complete all scheduled maintenance for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment in a timely manner to maximize generation
• Install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot minor and major components
• Perform current and voltage calculations as necessary
• Initiate reports and records associated with maintenance and repairs
• Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), JSA's, and job specific documentation required for maintenance and repairs
• Proactively look for improvement opportunities to job-specific processes and procedures
• Perform data collection and prepare reports to meet reporting requirements
• Mentor lower-level technicians
• Perform balance of plant and switchyard work as required
• Support regional Wind Maintenance activities, as needed
• Assist with QA/QC activities
• Work in conjunction with Technical Support for proactive repairs
• Comply with all HSEQ policies and procedures (ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO18001)
• Assist with inventory control as needed
• At times, assist with BOP activities
• Participate in on-the-job training and other training off-site
• Complete all required training in a satisfactory manner and timeframe
• *Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical or Technical Engineering or related field
• One (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a Wind Technology-related occupation, or three (3) years of experience in Wind Energy
• Demonstrable experience with:
+ Using electrical test equipment including DMM, meggers, and multi-process calibration equipment
+ Strong knowledge in electrical theory and troubleshooting techniques
+ Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, SQL Server software, facility management and reporting systems, and computerized diagnostic and troubleshooting tools
+ Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment, including voltage testers, amp clamps, hydraulic torque equipment, alignment tools, and various hand and power tools
+ Familiarity with heavy equipment required for facility maintenance, including working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements
+ Wind farm operations and maintenance

• 5% domestic (U.S) travel required
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Exposure to reasonable hot/cold ambient weather conditions prevalent at any given time
• Climb turbine towers 100+ meters in height approximately 5-15 times per week, or as needed
• Work at heights of 300 feet or more in confined spaces and perform essential physical functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to respond to site emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as needed
