About the position

Responsibilities
• Serve as the Wildlife Refuge Manager in charge of Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge.

• Oversee overall administration, planning, program direction, coordination, and evaluation of refuge operations.

• Continue refuge expansion plans and efforts.

• Win and maintain support for refuge acquisition of 38,000 acres.

• Coordinate with federal, state, and private groups to resolve conflicts related to refuge management.

• Provide guidance for habitat management programs, including development and assessment of habitat plans.

Requirements
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

• Possess a degree in zoology, wildlife management, or a related field of biology with specific coursework.

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in federal service.
