Description

The Wildlife Educator position, as an AmeriCorps member, is crucial to the Conservation Education team. This role primarily involves supporting classroom programming, field trips, and community outreach in the Las Vegas area, while also facilitating statewide Wildlife Education programs. Members will develop and lead regional Outdoor Education events that showcase activities like archery, fishing, and hunting for families. Additionally, responsibilities include enhancing current Conservation Education programs, creating new initiatives, training volunteers, and participating in various volunteer projects.

Responsibilities
• Facilitate and evaluate statewide Wildlife Education classroom programming

• Build relationships with partner organizations, recruit and train volunteers
• Evaluate all programming and coordinate volunteer involvement

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• A Bachelor’s degree in education, science, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
