Talisman is seeking a Water/Wastewater Client Services/BD Lead in Venice, CA, offering a hybrid work option. Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):
• Lead the strategic direction for water resources and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with client needs and business goals.
• Develop and manage key client relationships, identifying opportunities for business expansion and cross-selling additional services.
• Oversee the development of complex water/wastewater treatment, pipeline, and water quality improvement projects.
• Lead teams in the creation of proposals, ensuring compliance with regulations and meeting client requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, working closely to understand their challenges, providing technical guidance, and proposing tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects meet performance, budget, and schedule targets.
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and public forums to increase visibility and build professional networks.
• Mentor junior staff and guide professional development and technical training.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical presentations to stakeholders and government agencies.

Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (Master’s a plus).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 15+ years of experience in water infrastructure and water resources engineering.
• Proven experience managing and developing business with municipal and government clients in water and wastewater sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of California’s water resources regulations.
• Strong leadership skills to manage teams and client relationships.
• Experience in proposal development, contract negotiation, and managing projects from start to finish.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to manage client expectations.
• Willing to travel up to 10% for client meetings and project reviews.
• Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create Excel trackers, and be able to use Word and PowerPoint for reporting/presentations via Teams or in person.
