Position Overview:
CME Associates is seeking a talented and experienced Water Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Parlin, NJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing water and wastewater treatment projects. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to quality and sustainability.
Responsibilities
Project Design and Development:
• Design and develop water and wastewater treatment systems, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment plants.
• Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments for proposed projects.
Project Management:
• Manage water and wastewater projects from conception through completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
• Oversee and guide project teams, including junior engineers and technical staff.
Technical Analysis and Problem Solving:
• Perform technical analysis and troubleshooting of existing water and wastewater systems.
• Develop innovative solutions to address complex engineering challenges.
• Utilize modeling software and other tools to simulate system performance and optimize designs.
Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure all designs and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Prepare and submit necessary permit applications and documentation.
• Stay current with changes in regulations and industry standards.
Client Relations and Business Development:
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for new business.
• Prepare proposals and presentations for potential projects.
• Represent CME Associates at industry conferences and meetings.
Qualifications
Educational Background:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Professional Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, with a focus on design and project management.
• Experience with municipal and industrial water and wastewater systems is highly desirable.
Licensure and Certification:
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of New Jersey or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
• Relevant certifications such as LEED, PMP, or similar are a plus.
Technical Proficiency:
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering design software.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, or similar.
• Familiarity with GIS applications and data management.
Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
