Job Description
TRS Staffing is seeking a Water Resources Manager for their Calgary team in Canada. The role involves managing medium to large-scale projects related to stormwater, wastewater studies, river engineering, and flood control. Responsibilities include client relationship management, overseeing staff, preparing reports, and driving business development. Candidates should have a degree in Engineering, extensive project management experience, and proficiency in relevant software. Salary is between $160K - $200K/year.
We are looking for a Water Resources Manager to join our client’s Calgary team to handle medium to large-scale projects. These projects may include managing stormwater in both urban and rural settings, conducting wastewater collection studies, analyzing river engineering, designing hydraulic structures, and working on flood control and irrigation initiatives.
Salary Range: $160K - $200K/year
Responsibilities:
• Managing and nurturing client relationships.
• Leading recruitment, career planning, and salary reviews.
• Ensuring the quality and accuracy of designs and reports.
• Overseeing engineers, technologists, and support staff.
• Preparing technical reports, proposals, and design documentation.
• Driving business development and marketing efforts.
• Meeting project requirements efficiently and effectively.
• Allocating resources and coordinating technical staff for projects.
• Fostering team development through coaching and mentoring.
• Overseeing projects and guiding project managers and teams.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology.
• Eligible for APEGA or ASET membership.
• Minimum 10 years in water resources project design and management.
• 5+ years in a consulting environment.
• Familiar with modeling software like PC SWMM, Mike Urban, and HEC-RAS.
• Skilled in business development for both private and public sectors.
• Experience in leading, coaching, and mentoring teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Proven success in project management and client satisfaction.
• Proficient in liaising with clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Holds a valid driver’s license.
