Job Summary:
As the Water Resource Manager on the Operations team, your focus will be on overall watershed management and coordination of unit outage planning and generation production forecasting. You'll be responsible for ensuring public safety and recreational use in the watersheds, and providing regulatory compliance support in river management and generation marketing. Your leadership and strategic planning skills will be instrumental in shaping the future of our company and contributing to our mission of clean energy transformation.
Responsibilities:
• Practice safe work habits in compliance with Elevate Power's HSSE Managed System, ESG, risk, and compliance policies.
• Manage watersheds and water resources using principles of sustainable development and hydroelectric power operation.
• Determine operating limits for hydraulic facilities and generating stations.
• Develop optimization strategies for better use of water resources and maximizing commercial benefits.
• Provide forecasts for energy production for budgeting and planning.
• Coordinate community relations and public safety in watershed management.
• Participate in the administration of the Emergency Action Plan.
• Assist with FERC filing and reporting and meet river compliance targets.
• Support and communicate with company marketing staff and Generation Asset Management.
• Drive professional growth and development by setting and achieving clear objectives in alignment with organizational goals.
• Promote and embody the company's core values, fostering a culture of alignment and commitment among team members.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by your manager.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in watershed management or environmental sciences.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, power production, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to water licensing.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and effective collaboration in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong planning and scheduling capabilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a willingness to travel as needed.
