Primary Function
Under general supervision, inspects and evaluates drains, canals, reservoirs for invasive plant, weed or tree species; investigates field sites; verifies compliance with district programs; installs, calibrates and maintains mechanical and electronic data logging devices; retrieves and tracks data; conducts sampling; and produces reports, records and graphs. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school equivalent with supplemental college courses in engineering and advanced mathematics and two years of experience as a water conservation data technician I or four years of progressively skilled experience in operation and maintenance of electronic equipment, hydrologic and soil studies or sampling and laboratory procedures.
Licensing & Certification Requirements
A valid driver's license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required.
Veteran's Preference (External Applicants Only): Submit DD form 214 or other evidence of veterans' status by the job posting deadline.
Other Requirements/Testing
A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment.
