Job Description:

Resource Central, an award-winning nonprofit, is seeking a Water Conservation Associate to join the team. The Water Conservation Associate will be an essential part of the Slow the Flow program, helping people in Colorado conserve water and reduce waste. This field-based role involves conducting sprinkler system checkups, providing water conservation recommendations, and delivering exceptional customer service. The position starts on June 3, 2024, and is expected to continue through August or September 2024. Compensation includes $18.50/hr, mileage reimbursement, cell phone stipend, paid training, and paid sick leave.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct sprinkler system checkups at various locations including homes and businesses
• Travel to appointment locations daily (mileage reimbursement provided)
• Test sprinkler systems, collect data, and make adjustments for water conservation
• Educate homeowners and business owners on outdoor water use best practices
• Participate in meetings, both in-person and virtually
• Assist with other Resource Central programs as needed
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion

Qualifications:

• Passion for water conservation
• Excellent customer service skills
• Minimum age of 18
• Valid driver's license, insurance, reliable automobile, and smartphone
• Ability to pass background check and driving record evaluation
• Physically able to lift 30 pounds, walk, kneel, lift, and bend continuously
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Experience in landscaping, sprinklers, or sustainability is preferred
