Job Description
Angus Council is hiring a Waste Operative in Arbroath, UK, for a full-time role (36 hours/week) focused on collecting household and public waste. The position requires basic numeracy, health and safety knowledge, and communication skills. Candidates will undergo written tests and an interview. The salary ranges from £25,096 to £25,302 per year. The role primarily involves front-line service delivery with limited access to council locations.
Job DescriptionBased at Burgh Yard, Cairnie Loan, Arbroath.This job is workstyle 1.
In this workstyle most of your time is spent undertaking the direct delivery of front-line services work. Depending on your role there may be a limited requirement to access a specific council location during the course of the working week if you are not delivering your service at a council location.
You will work 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, collecting household and public waste.
If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited to attend a recruitment session lasting approximately 1 hour which will include the following:-
Short Written Tests (20 minutes):-
Basic numeracy skills;
Knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace;
Knowledge of basic road safety; and
Written communication skills
Short Interview (25 minutes)
