Warehouse Material Handler 1

Reliance is hiring Warehouse Material Handlers in Spartanburg, SC for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include packaging materials, maintaining inventory, and operating forklifts and cranes. Candidates should be safety-minded and comfortable in hot conditions. Experience in steel manufacturing or warehouse operations is preferred. The position offers competitive pay starting at $20 per hour, with benefits available after 31 days of employment.
We are hiring for multiple positions across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities Include packaging materials, maintaining inventory, assisting operators, and handling materials using forklifts and overhead cranes. Candidates should be comfortable working in a hot environment and follow safety protocols.

Experience in steel manufacturing or warehouse operations is preferred, and forklift/crane experience is a plus.

• Package material according to the Shop Order using the Packaging Profile or as instructed.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, banding, seals, edge protectors, paper separators, and skids.
• Skidding material.
• Generate computer-assisted setup.
• Select proper knives, set up slitter head, and select and lay out tooling.
• Assist operator/helper and check shipping paperwork.
• Load/unload coils onto flatbed trucks/railcars using forklift and overhead crane.
• Proper placement of coils in the warehouse.
• Inspect, measure, and use tools required for jobs in production and shipping departments.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor/manager in shipping and production.
• Must be able to walk, stand, and bend.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Safety-minded at all times.
• Ability to work in a hot environment.
• Forklift and Overhead Crane experience is desirable.
• Must be able to follow instructions accurately and manage time effectively.
• Must be willing to work overtime and flexible shifts.
