About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Vice President for Climate Risk Analytics and Modeling to lead our efforts in developing and refining advanced climate and catastrophe models. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of assessing and mitigating the impacts of climate change within the financial sector. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of climate risks, regulatory policies, and state-of-the-art modeling techniques.

In this role, you will spearhead climate risk projects, provide expert advice to senior leadership on innovative modeling methodologies, and integrate climate impact considerations into our risk management processes. Collaborating with external partners and internal teams will be critical to ensuring the successful implementation and validation of models.

Qualified applicants should possess a Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline or a Master’s degree with substantial relevant experience, along with a strong foundation in statistical modeling. Candidates with at least 2 years of experience in climate risk stress testing or catastrophe modeling, particularly those familiar with the mortgage sector and regulatory frameworks, will be highly preferred. Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, SQL, STATA, Python, R, or C is essential. Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
