Job Description
Live Nation seeks a part-time, seasonal member for their Venue Sustainability team at the Xfinity Center in Foxborough, MA. The role focuses on achieving zero waste goals by sorting materials post-show and educating staff and fans on sustainability practices. Responsibilities include engaging with Band Members and supporting employee programs. Physical demands include lifting and sorting materials, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and creativity.
About the position
The Zero Waste Sustainability Team plays a crucial role in advancing our sustainability initiatives, particularly in achieving our goal of becoming a zero waste venue. This position serves as the backbone and driving force behind our efforts, focusing on sorting materials and educating others about sustainable practices. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with the Venue Sustainability Coordinator and will be an integral part of the venue operations team. This is a seasonal, part-time position that is primarily active on show days, with hours varying based on the show schedule and business needs at the time. In this role, you will assist in the post-show sorting process, which involves categorizing all recycling, composting, and landfill materials. You will act as an ambassador to all Band Members, helping them understand their responsibilities in achieving the venue's sustainability goals. Additionally, you will support employee engagement programs, such as the water bottle refill punch cards and post-show sort giveaways, while also contributing new ideas to enhance these initiatives. Engaging fans and encouraging their participation in our sustainability programs through various activities and educational efforts will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the post-show sorting process of all recycling, composting, and landfill materials

Requirements
• Position requires about 90% of the time spent walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and carrying 50 lbs.+ with about 65% of that time spent sorting materials
,
• Dedication to participate in initiatives that have a real and immediate impact on sustainability
,
• Ability to work well with other departments
,
• Experience in events, particularly zero waste events, is a plus
,

• Creative thinker and problem solver
,
• Strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
