Job Description and Eligibility Criteria – Head VC Fund

The Head-VC Fund would manage the company’s investment portfolio reporting to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Company. The Head-VC Fund will provide direction, lead investment teams, complete all fund transactions, and effectively maintain portfolio developments. The Head-VC Fund should possess a sound understanding of all investment policies and guidelines, demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and maintain a strong professional work ethics. The Head-VC Fund will serve as the senior investment executive having an overall responsibility for the investment and strategy of the Fund with expertise in all aspects of investments and portfolio management from deal-flow to execution and to develop and market the Fund’s mandate through various marketing efforts for a successful first and final closing of the Fund.

The essential responsibilities include :

Investments

1. Establish effective and well-organized investment processes and to provide well informed investment recommendations based on thorough research and analysis

2. To serve as the member of Investment Committee and provide sound and fully supported recommendations and advice on the investment mandates

3. Implement investment and risk management policies in line with the Fund’s mandate

4. Organize regular investment reports and reviews, including quantitative and qualitative portfolio studies

5. Perform and deliver financial/commercial risk management, tax and legal due diligences on the projects and recommend appropriate course of action.

Fund Raising

1. Responsible for development, evaluation and review of deal flow and project pipeline against investment strategy, risk budget and other investment criteria on an on-going basis to ensure optimal and timely investment and performance and to managing the investment program for the Fund and playing an integral role in fund raising

2. To bring significant relationships which can be leveraged to support fund raising.

Team

To build, develop and lead the investment strategy team of the organization.

Experience Required:

– Total experience: 6 to 10 years’ experience in managing VC Funds.

– The candidates should possess a strong track record of building an investment portfolio, investing capital, creating exits and returns, leading deals and teams.

– The candidate should have a proven track record of raising funds for a private equity fund and generating superior returns on the investments.

– Qualification: A qualified finance professional (CPA, ACA, CFA, MBA)
