Vehicle Technician / Mechanic – Vauxhall

Perrys is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic for their Barnsley dealership. The role involves conducting MOTs, servicing, and repairing vehicles, with a salary starting at £27,500 plus bonuses. The position requires a Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance qualification and a valid MOT licence. Employees benefit from 22 days holiday, a pension scheme, and ongoing professional training. This is a full-time role with set working hours and some Saturday mornings.
Job Role: MOT Tester & Vehicle Mechanic / Technician

Dealership: Perrys Vauxhall – Claycliffe Road, Barugh Green, Barnsley, S75 1LR

Salary:
• Basic salary from £27,500 (Negotiable dependent on experience)
• Plus excellent bonus scheme give OTE from £33,000

Hours:
• Monday – Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
• Only 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (unless you want more overtime)

You’ll be joining a fantastic, established team and be supported by a motivating and encouraging Service Manager.

The role:
• To complete MOTs in line with DVSA standards
• Service & repair vehicles
• Ensure quality and a first time fix of all customer vehicles
• Communicate work progress with your supervisor
• Develop your skills & knowledge via regular training
• Maintain a clean & safe work bay

Qualifications and experience required:
• Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification
• Valid MOT Licence
• At least 1 years experience in a main dealership or independent garage
• Must hold a full UK driving licence
