Job Description
NHS Scotland is seeking a Vehicle Mobile ICT Technology Technician for the Scottish Ambulance Service. The role involves becoming a subject matter expert on vehicle-based ICT technology within the fleet. Candidates must hold a driving licence for groups C1 and D1 and have experience with cab-based technology. The position is full-time and based in the United Kingdom, with a commitment to diversity and equality in the workforce.
The Scottish Ambulance Service provides scheduled and unscheduled ambulance services across Scotland. The Service makes extensive use of cab-based technology in order to support efficient and effective service delivery. It has a fleet of over 1400 vehicles, the vast majority of which are equipped with ICT equipment of one form or another (e.g. cab based terminals, Airwave terminals, mobile data equipment etc).
We are currently looking for a vehicle based ICT technology technician to work within the Service ICT Department. In this post it is envisaged that the post holder will become the operational level subject matter expert for all the vehicle based ICT technology installed in the Service fleet.
Applicants must have a current driving licence for groups C1 and D1. Previous experience of working with cab-based technology is essential and an understanding of the Airwave Radio Service is highly desirable.
