Job Description

The VP, Global Impact and Sustainability at ServiceNow will lead a global team to drive sustainability, social impact, and ESG initiatives. This role involves defining a comprehensive sustainability strategy, engaging with stakeholders, fostering a culture of sustainability, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The VP will work cross-functionally and represent the company in global forums, while aligning sustainability efforts with corporate goals and community engagement.
About the position

The Vice President, Global Impact & Sustainability will be responsible for leading a global team to shape and drive the company’s global sustainability, social impact, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives that promote environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and long-term sustainable growth while collaborating across the organization and with external stakeholders to achieve these goals. This leader will set the vision, strategy, and ensure that Global Impact and Sustainability is embedded into the business strategy, operations, and culture, aligning with corporate goals, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations. As a key member of the leadership team, the VP will collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, industry partners and global communities to advance corporate responsibility, ESG performance, and sustainable business practices.

Responsibilities
• Define and lead a comprehensive, enterprise-wide sustainability strategy that aligns with business goals and global best practices.

• Continue to drive progress toward carbon neutrality, net-zero emissions, and science-based climate targets, ensuring compliance with global environmental regulations.

• Engage with investors, regulators, customers, and employees to advance sustainability commitments and drive transparency.
,
• Lead the development of annual sustainability reports, disclosures, and ESG ratings management.
,
• Stay ahead of emerging trends, regulatory changes, and investor expectations regarding corporate sustainability and impact reporting.
,
• Foster a culture of sustainability and social responsibility across the company by influencing senior leadership and engaging employees at all levels.

• Spearhead the company’s global Social Impact strategy, ensuring alignment across our company values and initiatives.
,
• Build community engagement and philanthropic initiatives, focusing on globalizing our efforts and creating programs that have measurable impact.

• Develop scalable programs to drive employee engagement in volunteering, giving campaigns, and social impact initiatives.
,
• Partner with NGOs, nonprofits, governments, and industry alliances to extend the company’s global impact.
,
• Lead internal education and culture-building efforts, ensuring employees at all levels understand their role in achieving Global Impact goals.

• Lead the evolution of annual ESG reports, sustainability disclosures, and compliance filings (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, EU CSRD).

• Oversee ESG data collection, benchmarking, and reporting to track progress and communicate impact.
,
• Engage with investors, policymakers, and customers to enhance transparency and advocate for Global Impact initiatives.

• Represent the company in global forums, regulatory discussions, and industry conferences to advance ServiceNow’s leadership.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders internally, driving business value.
,
• Monitor global trends in sustainability regulations and ensure the company is compliant with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) regulations.

• Partner with C-suite leaders, board members, and global department heads to ensure Global Impact & Sustainability is a core component of business decisions.

• Partner with the ServiceNow.org leadership team to ensure alignment of enterprise business goals and collaborate to take advantage of growth opportunities.
,
• Work closely with product and innovation teams to drive the development of sustainable products and services.
,
• Collaborate with communications, marketing, and brand teams to drive Global Impact and Sustainability-focused messaging, external engagement, and corporate reputation management.

• Serve as a thought leader and internal consultant, providing expert advice on sustainability practices and solutions across business units.

Requirements
• 15+ years of leadership experience in sustainability, ESG, corporate social responsibility, or a related discipline.
,
• Proven track record of developing and executing global sustainability strategies in a corporate, consulting, or nonprofit environment.
,
• Deep understanding of ESG reporting standards and sustainability regulations (e.g., SEC climate disclosure rules, EU taxonomy, GHG Protocol).
,
• Experience in public-private partnerships and sustainable finance is a strong plus.
,
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence executive teams and external partners.

• Strong analytical mindset, with experience in using data-driven insights to drive decision-making.
,
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in sustainability, environmental science, business, public policy, or a related field preferred.
,
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment while balancing long-term strategic goals with day-to-day operational demands.
