Job Description
Stryten Energy is hiring for a Utility Inventory position at their Salina, KS factory, a major lead-acid battery manufacturing site. The role involves auditing inventory, resolving compliance issues, and ensuring accurate JDE transactions. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude, strong computer skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks. Overview
The Stryten factory in Salina, Kansas is one of the largest lead-acid battery manufacturing sites in North America with 800 employees capable of producing more than 35,000 quality batteries per day. These batteries can be found in your car, in your boat or RV, or, in your lawn and garden equipment. Stryten proudly supports the local community by regularly participating in Project Salina, the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, and providing more than 100 volunteers for the Smoky Hill River Festival.

The Utility Inventory position will audit assigned, or designated areas in the plant, research and make necessary adjustments in JDE, to sustain inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES / AUTHORITIES:
• Print location reports and audit to verify accuracy
• Perform research, as needed, to resolve non-compliance issues
• Resolve daily errors and missed stock moves, regarding usage and production reporting, and reverse as necessary
• Trouble-shoot and provide training or guidance to Dept. Supervisors, floor personnel, and material handlers, as needed, for accurate JDE transactions
• Assure production departments are complying with all procedures, as designated, regarding reconciliations, and moving stock in the locator
• Follow Lean Manufacturing procedures to include 5S
• Comply with current Quality Systems requirements
• Participate as a Leader in the Physical Inventory
• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor or Management
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel within the organization
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Repetitive lifting from grams up to 50 pounds
• Continuous standing, walking, and bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching, for 12 hr. shifts. Repetitious work
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, respirator, safety glasses, metatarsal guard shoes, etc., as required in established policy
• Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
• Computer, calculator, copier, and other general office equipment, and manlift
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Strong computer and analytical skills
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
