Rundell Ernstberger Associates is hiring an entry-level Urban Planning Specialist in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves working on diverse urban planning projects, conducting research, developing maps and presentations, and engaging with the community. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated entry-level urban planner to join our team at Rundell Ernstberger Associates. As an urban planning specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from comprehensive plans to neighborhood plans, ordinances, transportation, and corridor plans.

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of urban planning principles, policies, and procedures. You will be responsible for researching various aspects of a project, developing maps, graphics, and working papers; assisting with development of presentations and presentation boards, conducting in-person and online public engagement, and assisting with writing and developing concepts for work products.

Our planning group works closely with the urban design and landscape architecture practices within the firm.

As an entry-level urban planner, you will be exposed to various aspects of the business by providing support to many different project teams at REA. Our award-winning work includes comprehensive plans, neighborhood plans, ordinances, transportation, and corridor plans, resiliency plans, redevelopment plans, downtown plans, mixed-use and innovation districts, and everything in between.
