Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to lead our urban planning efforts in the City of Reno, NV.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leads and oversees the work of professional planning staff.
• Develops and implements complex planning projects, including master plans and zoning ordinances.
• Reviews development proposals and prepares reports for the Planning Commission and City Council.
• Collaborates with developers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with city policies and regulations.
• Stays up-to-date on new trends and innovations in urban planning.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in urban planning or a related field.
• Three years of increasingly responsible urban planning experience, including lead supervisory responsibility.
• AICP certification from the American Planning Association is desirable.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
