Job Description

The City Engineer will plan, direct, manage, oversee, and coordinate the programs and activities of the Engineering Department. This includes designing and implementing street, drainage, and utility projects, as well as construction inspection, bidding, and contracting. The successful candidate will also provide administration support to the City Manager and coordinate with other City departments and outside agencies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 4+ years in a leadership position or supervisory role
• Professional Engineer license
• ODOT experience
• Public Works experience

About the Role

The City Engineer will assume full management responsibilities for all services and activities of the Engineering Department. They will develop and implement goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned programs and recommend and administer policies and procedures. The successful candidate will also monitor and evaluate service delivery methods and procedures, recommend staffing levels, and participate in budget development and implementation.
