Role SummaryAs Sustainability advisor for Urban Outfitters EU you will be managing efforts to reducing our environmental impact.

Reporting to the Head of Technical, Ethical and Sustainability, your day to day will consist of driving the business sustainability strategy.

You will collaborate with the global team on reaching URBN sustainability targets as well as Urban Outfitters EU targets, measure and analyse impact data and support the global trade and compliance team on fulfilling reporting requirements and product level legislation across the EU legislative landscape.

What You'll Be DoingDrive the brands sustainability strategy in line with business sustainability targetsCollaborate with product teams to implement circular design principlesEducate product teams on product level initiativesCollaborate with suppliers to drive the incorporation of alternative materials into productCollaborate with the global team on the measurement of scope 1,2 and 3 footprints and implement impact reduction initiativesDrive the business sustainability training program for internal teams and suppliersDeliver key updates to the business in quarterly updatesRepresent the brand at external engagementsOversee supplier certifications and the maintenance of the supplier databaseBenchmark the market and keep ahead of innovation and legislationManage new and existing 3rd party relationships, and their respective platforms, such as Textiles 2030, Better Cotton and Lenzing.Ensure product level compliance surrounding ESG legislation and collaborate with the global trade and compliance team for ESG reporting legislationDevelop marketing materials in line with sustainability strategy alongside the brand marketing and graphics teamsWhat You'll NeedStrong experience working in sustainability within the retail settingExtensive knowledge on environmental impacts of the fashion industryExperience with EU ESG legislation including product level requirements and corporate reporting requirementsExcellent communication and presentation skillsGood knowledge of global supply chains within the retail sectorProficient at excel and data analysis#UrbanEU
