Job Description
Freese Nichols is seeking an Urban Designer/Campus Planner for their Atlanta, GA office. The role involves developing sustainable urban design solutions for communities and higher education campuses, working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should have 4+ years of relevant experience and a degree in urban planning or related fields. Proficiency in design software and strong project management skills are required. The position may require travel for client meetings.
Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) is currently searching for a highly-motivated, passionate and energetic Urban Designer/Campus Planner to grow the Urban Planning and Design Group in our Atlanta, Georgia office.

This position primarily focuses on managingand developingcampusplansfor higher education,andurban design projectswitharegional focus.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
• Work in a collaborative environment as part of a multi-disciplineteam.
• Demonstrateabilityto develop site analysis, conceptual plans,andsitedesigns at a master planning level.
• Prepareforandfacilitatestakeholderinvolvement and consensus-building meetings and workshops.
• Demonstrateabilityto produce well-written reports and highly visual documents.
• Help plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of planning work in several large and important projects.
• Manage personal timeliness and technical correctness of a project to ensure high-quality work that fits within a client's budget and expectations.
• Be willing to travel as needed to meet project commitments, including overnight travel and evening client meeting obligations.
• Represent the company at conferences,seminarsandmeetings; make presentations to clients, governmentofficialsand industry representatives.
• Help draft proposals and statements of qualification within the directives of company policy relating to marketing.
Qualifications
• 4+ years ofurban design and campus planning-related work experience
• Bachelor's degreeor Master'sdegreeinurban planning,landscapearchitectureorarchitectureisrequired.
• Proficiencyin the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite,AutoCAD, Sketchup and rendering/visualization programs
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Strong freehand illustration andrenderingskills
• AICP certification, orRegistered Landscape Architect or Architect in the office location state or ability to gain reciprocal licensing.
• Experience in project management of multiple and complex projects, facilitation and engagement, project and scope development, and other skills necessary to be successful in a government-clientand institutional-clientfocused, high-paced firm.
