Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Treasury Analyst, Energy Transition to join our dynamic finance team in Denver, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in treasury operations, energy transactions, and financial risk management. This role will support the company’s treasury functions, including cash management, liquidity forecasting, credit risk assessment, and transaction execution for energy-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily treasury operations related to energy transactions, including cash positioning, bank account reconciliation, and payment processing.
• Support energy trading activities by monitoring and managing credit risk exposure, collateral requirements, and liquidity needs.
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting models specific to energy transactions.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including finance, accounting, and risk management, to optimize treasury processes.
• Analyze and report on market trends, interest rates, and counterparty creditworthiness to mitigate financial risk.
• Assist in the execution of hedging strategies and financial instruments to manage currency and commodity price exposure.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and corporate policies.
• Support banking and financial institution relationships, negotiating terms and optimizing treasury services.
• Utilize treasury management systems and financial software to enhance reporting and efficiency.
• Participate in strategic treasury projects and process improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in treasury, energy finance, or a related area.
• Strong knowledge of energy markets, financial instruments, and trading operations.
• Experience with treasury management systems and financial modeling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with financial risk management, hedging, and liquidity planning preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting energy transactions is a plus.
