Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Transportation Planner in Rocky Hill, CT. Responsibilities include preparing documents, reviewing design plans for environmental impacts, interfacing with clients and regulatory agencies, and performing site inspections for compliance. About the position

AECOM is actively seeking a Transportation Planner for employment in Rocky Hill, CT. The responsibilities will include: Review and prepare documents, reports, presentations, technical memoranda, and other work products with a focus on regulatory compliance, technical adequacy, and impact assessment. Review design plans for potential environmental impacts. Interface with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders. Perform site reviews for natural and water resources. Perform site inspections on active construction projects for environmental compliance with existing permits and regulatory programs. Reviewing and preparing planning/engineering studies/reports/permit applications with a focus on regulatory compliance and technical adequacy with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Connecticut Environmental Policy Act (CEPA), natural and water resource evaluations, and contaminated and hazardous materials management.

Requirements
• BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience with utility and transportation projects is highly desirable as is basic knowledge of environmental permit programs.
,
• 2 years' experience with NEPA and Water or Natural Resource analysis and permitting.
,
• Experience with Federal and Northeast states regulatory programs for Water and Natural Resources.
,
• 2 years' experience with NEPA review processes and spatial resource analysis.
,
• Ability and willingness to perform construction oversight for environmental regulatory program compliance.
