Role Description

The Traineeship Coordinator (DEI) role is a newly created opportunity in our Organisational Development and Learning Team based at our Perth Central Park site.

The role supports Synergy to achieve its aspirations in providing employment opportunities for diverse candidates (All Abilities and Aboriginal and Torres St Islander). Working as part of the OD and learning Team, you will report to the Graduate & Entry Level Programs Lead and work closely with other leaders to improve and embed DEI initiatives and focuses on proactive measures to address the gap and support DEI and learning outcomes. This role will provide support to leaders in relation to trainees and other early learning candidates throughout the lifespan of the program.

Job Responsibilities
• Project manage and coordinate Synergy’s First Nation traineeship program in line with the program framework.
• Continuously evaluate and monitor service and program delivery to ensure program integrity and compliance with the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF), state industrial legislation requirements.
• Promote the program to identify and enrol trainees, including assistance with enrolment and linking to additional funding opportunities.
• Liaise with other support services to ensure wrap-around support is provided to support people achieve their vocational goals.
• Assist students to acquire, develop, practice and apply the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need now and, in the future.

What You Will Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a DEI role or related field, including an understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal culture, customs, and community.
• In addition to essential qualifications a Cert IV Training & Assessment will be viewed favourably.
• Strong understanding of DEI principles and best practices.
• Project and program management skills.
