Trainee Ecologist

The Wildlife Trusts is offering a 10-month fixed-term traineeship for a Trainee Ecologist in Dorchester, UK. The role involves ecological survey and monitoring work, GIS, and data tasks, under the mentorship of a Reserves Ecology Assistant. Dorset Wildlife Trust are happy to announce the opportunity of an ecological Dorset based traineeship.

This is a 10-month fixed term contract role, undertaking ecological survey and monitoring work across our nature reserves, along with GIS and data work. The role will be based at our headquarters at Brooklands Farm.

Working alongside our Reserves Ecology Assistant as a mentor, the role offers experience working in the conservation sector. This includes a comprehensive training package including qualifications in first aid, along with opportunities for training in ecological survey techniques. At the end of the 10 months, you will be experienced in a wide range of ecology survey and monitoring techniques, GIS and data work.

£21,840 pro rata to £17,472 for 28 hour week ( 4 days). The role is of 10 months duration.
