STX Group is seeking a Trading Analyst in Mexico City to join their dynamic trading team. The role involves developing analytical tools, managing Energy Attribute Certificates (EAC) risk, and forecasting renewable energy trends. Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in options trading, proficiency in Python and R, and a strong understanding of environmental commodities. The position requires relocation to Mexico City and is full-time.

TEAM AND ROLE:
As part of a dynamic and internationally integrated trading team, you will develop innovative analytical tools, manage Energy Attribute Certificates (EAC) risk, and forecast renewable energy trends. Collaborating within a competitive environment, you will analyze transaction data to drive improvements and deliver impactful market assessments in environmental commodities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain EAC market models to forecast price trends and trading opportunities
• Identified new quantitative tools and refine models for analytical prowess to contribute to the desk's analytical excellence
• Manage risk in both local and international EAC (Energy Attribute Certificates) within mandated parameters
• Analyze renewable energy markets, identifying EAC supply-demand drivers
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement and support ad-hoc impact assessments and analysis related to the EAC market and trading strategies
KEY REQUIREMENTS
• 2-5 years of experience in options trading, showcasing a proven track record in derivatives markets, particularly in challenging, opaque OTC markets
• A passion to organize, structure, and visualize complex quantitative problems
• Advanced Python and R required; Excel, SQL, VBA are a plus
• A genuine excitement about markets and a willingness to gain a deep understanding of environmental commodity markets. Exposure to our markets is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or related fields, complemented by excellent English proficiency
• Currently living in or open to relocating to Mexico City
