About the Role

We are seeking a talented Environmental Graphic Designer to join our team at Toole Design Group in Kansas City, MO. As an Environmental Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and effective wayfinding solutions for public spaces.

You will work closely with our urban designers, landscape architects, planners, and engineers to help users navigate and engage with their environments. Your portfolio should demonstrate strong design skills, including experience in graphic production using Adobe Creative Suite, and proficiency in CADTools, SignAgent, GIS, and/or Sketchup.

Responsibilities
• Design standalone wayfinding projects or lead EGD tasks within larger trails and urban design projects
• Develop sign locations and messaging, and prepare design intent drawings demonstrating knowledge of fabrication techniques and relevant building/planning codes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across Toole Design's 19 offices across the US, with emphasis on projects located in your region
• Balance multiple projects, manage timelines, and meet project deadlines

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, landscape architecture, or related field from an accredited college or university and/or comparable work experience in lieu of a degree
• 5+ years of experience in graphic design, industrial design, landscape architecture, or other related field
• 3+ years' experience in wayfinding, including preparation of design intent drawings
• Portfolio demonstrating strong design skills
• Proficiency in graphic production using Adobe Creative Suite, and experience with CADTools, SignAgent, GIS, and/or Sketchup preferred
