About the position
The Telecom Electronic Technician II at BNSF Railway plays a crucial role in maintaining and managing essential communication systems across the railroad network. Responsibilities
• Installing, repairing, and maintaining telecommunications equipment including radios, digital microwave, and radio frequency data link equipment.

• Installing, assembling, repairing, adjusting, testing, and maintaining wired and wireless systems and devices, including automatic equipment identification systems, IP networks, VoIP, and cameras.

• Conducting daily work in diverse and extreme weather conditions, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements
• Must be able to work in the US without company sponsorship now and in the future.

• At least 18 years of age by the anticipated start date.

• Ability to report for duty at the designated work location.

• Ability to work safely in various working conditions.

• Ability to meet travel requirements as specified.

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

• Experience in soldering work and able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic diagrams and schematics.

• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable electronics experience or post-high school training.

• Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to visually distinguish colors: red, blue, green, yellow.
