Sublette County School District #9 is seeking a full-time Technology Director in Big Piney, WY. This leadership role focuses on integrating and managing technology to enhance student learning and district operations. Technology Director

The Director of Technology provides leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the integration and management of technology systems that enhance student learning, staff effectiveness, and district operations. This role ensures the successful implementation of innovative technologies while maintaining a secure, efficient, and future-ready IT infrastructure aligned with the district's mission and educational goals.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience, Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT management, preferably in K-12 education settings.
• Industry-relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Google Certified Administrator, AWS, ITIL) preferred.

Skills & Competencies:
• Proven leadership in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems (networks, cybersecurity, cloud systems, student information systems).
• Expertise in instructional technology integration to support 21st-century learning.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, software systems, data privacy laws (FERPA, COPPA), and cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to provide leadership in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking skills to solve complex technology challenges.
• Effective communication skills with diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical staff.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
• Understanding of pedagogical frameworks to support instructional technology integration.

Compensation determined by the district.
