The role involves routine assignments under supervision, including technical calculations, drawing preparation, and assisting in field tests. The position requires a B.S. degree and four years of relevant experience. The salary ranges from $54,000 to $80,000, with additional benefits. This position is not remote and is based on-site.

Technologist 1 - Environmental Safety - Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. - Erwin, TN

Major Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for routine assignments following specific detailed instructions or established standards and methods.

Representative Responsibilities:
• Performs a wide variety of assignments and studies under the guidance of a more experienced employee.
• Makes sketches, drawings or other graphic aids.
• Prepares detailed calculations, technical instructions and design reports.
• Assists in field test specifications and operating procedures.
• Functions as liaison within the Division regarding problems encountered in design, fabrication, erection, or maintenance.
• Performance of the above duties is designed to acquaint the incumbent with the Company’s method of operation, company policy, procedures, and products so that he may perform more advanced duties.

Other duties and responsibilities:

Files and maintains surveys, tests, inspections, and sample results for 53 radiation technicians. This information is required to be kept readily assessable for 3 years then is placed in long term storage for the life of the facility. This information is pulled from the three year files for both NRC and state inspections and is available for review for internal investigations, review etc.

Educational Requirements:
• B.S. or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Requirements:
• Four (4) years related assignments.

Pay: $54,000 - $80,000

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $54,000 and $80,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
