Job Title: Technologist - Water Resources

A key position for a technologist specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of dams and hydropower systems.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in:
• Providing technical support for feasibility studies, design, and inspections in dam structures and their foundations.

The responsibilities include:
• Dam safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Designing dams, including their foundations, bottom outlets, and spillways.
• Ensuring quality assurance during construction to meet project expectations.
• Preparing project specifications, bill of quantities, and tender documentation.
• Conducting hydrological and hydraulic analysis of catchment runoff and watercourses.
• Developing hydraulic models and designs for spillways and other hydraulic structures.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Advanced Diploma or BTech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in Dam Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer status or working towards registration.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, Rocscience Slide, Geostudio).
• Strong knowledge of dam safety regulations and guidelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
