The Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is seeking a Techno-Economic Analyst to integrate technical knowledge with financial analysis in the offshore renewable energy sector. The role involves enhancing existing models, conducting research, and delivering analysis for innovation projects. Do you want to work for the UK’s leading Technology, Innovation and Research Centre for Offshore Renewable Energy?

Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is recruiting a Techno-Economic Analyst to bring together technical/engineering knowledge with financial effects, to further develop existing models and assumptions and to produce insights built on robust modelling.

This role will ensure a high standard of analysis to stakeholders and proactively add robustness and new levels of detail to A&I team financial modelling.

What will I do?
• Gain and maintain thorough understanding of existing A&I models
• Identify technical areas for further research
• Liaise with internal and external parties to build detailed modules
• Integrate detailed modules with overall modelling
• Lead delivery of techno-economic elements of innovation projects
• Ensure high standard of O&M analysis for internal and external stakeholders

What are we looking for?
• Understanding of offshore renewable energy cost and value drivers
• Experience of doing a similar role in a technical or related academic environment
• High proficiency in MS Excel and analytical tools
• Able to make rational/commercial decisions

What personal qualities do I need to have?
• Able to solve problems
• Effective communicator

Location

This role can be based at any of our ORE Catapult locations across the UK. This means you have the flexibility to choose the work environment and location that suits you best. A full list of our sites can be found here
