Floworks International LLC is seeking a Technician in Gardena, CA, responsible for disassembling, inspecting, and repairing industrial and municipal equipment. Key duties include preventative maintenance, supporting installations, and troubleshooting on-site. Candidates should have a high school diploma or trade certification, mechanical skills, and experience with various types of pumps and blowers. The role requires travel, on-call availability, and adherence to safety and quality procedures.

McKenna is a subsidiary of FloWorks International LLC, which is a privately held company located in Pasadena, Texas.
The Technician is responsible for disassembling, inspecting, and repairing industrial and municipal blowers, pumps, mixers, and other rotating and stationary equipment. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, supporting new system installations, and providing on-site troubleshooting and inspections.
Some of the exciting things you will do in this role...
• Disassemble, inspect, and repair industrial and municipal blowers, pumps, mixers, and other types of rotating and stationary equipment.
• Paints, pumps, blowers, compressors, etc. in Shop paint booth
• Provide detailed written inspection reports, and digital photos when useful, to Service/Repair Coordinator
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• At a customer’s site, inspect for proper installation and provide basic troubleshooting of problems
• Support new system installations, removal of equipment, alignment of equipment, and labor for warranty repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance services at industrial and municipal facilities
• Must be willing to travel, including overnights
• Must be willing to be on-call on weekends and after-hours
• Represent the company in a professional way to customers, in technical ability, appearance, and communication skills
• Comply with all company safety rules and ISO 9001 quality procedures
A must…
• High school diploma and/or trade school certificate
• Minimum 5 years of rotating equipment repair preferred
• Must possess mechanical skills required to repair rotating equipment including ability to use micrometers and calipers for checking critical dimensions
• Ability to read, understand, and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics, for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Must have personal hand tools
• Experience with MD Pneumatics (Tuthill), Sutorbilt, and Roots blowers, Lamson and Hoffman centrifugal blowers, FL Smidth sliding vane compressors, vertical turbine pumps, liquid ring pumps, centrifugal pumps, metering pumps preferred, vacuum pumps (Kinney, Edwards, Welch)
• Previous successful experience servicing customers at their facilities
• Proven ability to work in a team and train others
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Must be dependable and have a stable work record
• Must be able to walk, squat, stoop, bend, and climb for an 8-10 hour shift
• Must be able to lift 75lbs
• Valid CA drivers license with a clean DMV
