Lilly is seeking a Technician for Environmental Monitoring in Durham, NC, to support environmental monitoring in classified manufacturing areas. Responsibilities include routine sampling, ensuring compliance with cGMPs, maintaining data integrity, and supporting laboratory operations. Candidates should have a high school diploma, experience in a GMP environment, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts. The role requires attention to detail and collaboration skills.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$17.30 - $42.67

The Quality Control - Environmental Monitoring (EM) Technician will perform routine and investigational environmental monitoring of classified manufacturing, filling, and support areas. Support daily EM laboratory operations.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
• Support production operations by means of EM sampling of classified manufacturing, filling, and support areas and operations personnel.
• Support daily EM laboratory operations and process/equipment qualification activities, as necessary.
• Ensures compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and maintain constant inspection-readiness.
• Ensures that data-integrity is maintained
• Participate in process streamlining and continuous performance improvement.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals.
Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Experience in a GMP environment
Additional Preferences:
• Environmental Monitoring experience preferred.
• Experience in Aseptic manufacturing or production, QC, QA, Technical Services, or Regulatory is desirable.
• Technical writing and written communication skills are a plus.
• Experience working in Grade D, C, and A environments.
• Ability to focus on continuous improvement.
• Previous experience with laboratory IT systems including LIMS, LES, and standalone COTS systems.
• Understanding of regulatory standards / requirements for EM.
• Knowledge of / familiarity with Parenteral production environments and operations.
• Understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory expectations for lab systems.
• Strong computer skills, documentation skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to collaborate and interact with a team.
• Must be able to stand / walk for extended periods of time.
Other Information:
• Position requires training or working on day shift 8-5 prior to transitioning to 2-2-3 shift, weekend work may be required.
• Minimal travel required,
• Post Offer testing exam may be required.
• Some allergens are present in the parenteral plant.
• EM Technician tasks involve repetitive motions.
• EM Technician requires gowning certification, and repeatedly aseptically gown daily.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds and be able to pass, push, and pull to execute specific aspects of job duty.
